DESCRIPTION:The Society’s annual exhibition of original and contemporary art offers a wonderful opportunity to acquire unique artwork at an affordable price. There will be a wide range of works including paintings\, prints\, sculpture and ceramics. \nThe Chichester Art Society is looking forward to another wonderful exhibition of members’ work. The society was founded in 1939 and is at the heart of our community in Chichester and the surrounding area. Then\, as now\, we welcome artists as members and visitors. Please come along and see our work and hear more about our programme of events throughout the year. We offer fortnightly demonstrations and talks by visiting professional artists\, one-day workshops with professional art tutors\, a weekly drop-in session\, painting with Friends\, summer sketching/plein-air painting outings and visits to galleries. Laura Bridges research and everyday experience to explain and demonstrate self-belief\, thinking and achievement. And it will be fun! \nMeet the author & book signing 3-4pm. \nYes I Can is a practical book founded on solid psychological concepts. Dr Laura Ritchie is a Chartered Psychologist\, Professor of Learning and Teaching\, musician\, and importantly\, she is someone who found her YES. Yes I Can addresses perception\, perspective\, self-beliefs\, and agency by presenting these concepts through a uniquely inviting\, approachable storytelling voice. Laura interweaves psychological theory with personable stories\, told in a memoir-like way\, drawing on experience from her own musical\, academic and personal life. The stories act as a bridge between research and everyday practice\, allowing the reader to look both at and into their own experience. \nLaura Ritchie is Professor of Learning and Teaching at the University of Chichester\, UK\, a chartered psychologist\, TEDX speaker\, writer\, musician and enthusiastic lover of life. She is vibrant in her teaching\, research\, music-making\, and in life; she embodies a ‘yes’ attitude. Her enthusiasm is contagious and inspires people to realise their goals through positive achievement and reach beyond their dreams. Laura has published and presented internationally\, in North and South America\, Asia\, and across Europe. Laura teaches people to be who they are.
