Over a career spanning more than 25 years he has appeared on over 50 recordings and released numerous acclaimed albums as a leader\, most notably with the Nigel Price Organ Trio\, whose dynamic blend of groove\, swing and modern jazz has earned widespread critical praise. \nPrice spent a decade as a core member of the influential acid-jazz group The Filthy Six and was also a long-standing member of the James Taylor Quartet\, recording five albums and touring extensively with one of Britain’s most successful jazz-funk bands. His versatility and musical authority have led to collaborations with a diverse range of artists\, including legendary producer and composer David Axelrod\, and a guest appearance on Van Morrison’s album Keep Me Singing. \nAs a bandleader\, his recordings such as Heads & Tales and Heads & Tales Volume 2 have become modern classics of the UK organ-trio tradition\, praised for their originality\, energy and strong melodic identity.
