Event C02: Priory Park Society Mini Festival
June 13th

For the first time, The Festival of Chichester will be preceded by a mini-festival week of events in Priory Park, celebrating the history and the importance of Chichester’s ‘Village Green’ today. Organised by the Priory Park Society, the mini festival runs from Monday 8th until Sunday 14th June.
Monday 8th June
- 11am: Talk – History of the Park post-Reformation – Alan Green
- 2pm: Walls Walk – Anne Scicluna
Tuesday 9th June
- 11am: Talk – History of the Park pre-Reformation – Richard Childs
Wednesday 10th June
- 11am: Talk – Cricket in the Park – Bruce Ruddock
Thursday 11th June
- 11am: Talk- Archaeology of the Park – James Kenny
Friday 12th June
- 11am: Panel discussion on the future of Park – chaired by Martyn Bell
- 3pm: Sung Evensong
- 5pm: Showing of PP100 film – Richard Plowman
- 7pm: Last night at the Proms – Chichester City Band
