Festival 2022
This year’s festival, which runs from 11 June to 10 July, will be a very special occasion – our tenth anniversary. As part of our celebrations, we are linking up with the Chichester District’s CULTURE SPARK, joining forces with Chichester Festival Theatre, Pallant House Gallery, the Novium, the Canal Trust and the New Park Film Festival which are all celebrating anniversaries in 2022.
We will be launching our tenth festival on Saturday 11 June on Cathedral Green from 2pm-4pm with a starry line-up in a free festival performance headed by the Bernardi Music Ensemble.
Event registration – a reminder
The deadline for entries is Friday 31 January. It’s already looking like a superb line-up of events.
To submit your entry, please visit our “Take part” page. This gives you all the info you need to know about the entry procedure and includes a help video.
This year, we are returning to publishing our full-colour festival brochure as well as listing events on our new website. The box office opens on 5 or 6 April.
Following our successful festival last year as the country emerged from lockdown, we are confident that we will be able to stage a full festival this year with a mix of live, outdoor and virtual events. We will, of course, follow any government guidelines in force at the time to keep people safe. We will update you if circumstances change and we need to alter our plans.

Advertising in the festival brochure
You may like to know that the brilliant festival brochure can offer you advertising space for your festival event to make sure it really gets noticed and stands out from the other events on offer.
This is in addition to the standard image and 50-word description which every event gets when an entry form is submitted.
I’m copying below the details for advertising in our brochure. Please get in touch with our advertising officer, Olivia (whose details are below), if you would like to know more or book an advert. Please book by the end of February. First come, first served.
The Festival of Chichester has gone from strength to strength and this year’s programme is sure to be jam-packed with hundreds of great events. It has become a staple of many people’s cultural calendars.
The pick-up rate for our distribution of circa 20,000 is very high, in that we have to top-up existing distribution outlets, and also find that our brochures (unlike many others) are actually read and kept! Advertising with us can provide a tangible benefit to your organisation and can offer guaranteed extra exposure to thousands of people!
Here is a quick recap of the advertising specs and prices:
Inside back cover – £750 + logo on sponsor page – and website advert
