Classical guitarist Zoe Barnett, ‘the guitarist who plays standing up’ presents an engaging programme including JS Bach and Castelnuovo-Tedesco in the serenity of St John’s Chapel, Chichester. Zoe was Sussex Young Musician in 2022 and graduates from the Royal College of Music this year.
Zoe Barnett, from Chichester, has played classical guitar from an early age. June 2024 sees her graduate with a Master’s degree in Performance from The Royal College of Music, London, generously supported by The Derek Butler Trust, where her teachers have included Gary Ryan and Chris Stell. She has also recently returned from studying with Enno Voorhorst at Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague.
Zoe was the winner of the Sussex Young Musician competition run by Coro Nuovo Choir in 2022. 2023 performances included recitals at King’s Place London and the Bath Guitar Festival as an International Guitar Foundation Young Artist. She was also invited to record for Siccas Guitars in Germany with her recording receiving in excess of 270,000 views on YouTube. She is an ambassador for D’Addario Strings.
