John Sherlock is an engineer by background and spent much of his life involved in software.
In a career switch he set up a company to help the owners of major houses and landscapes to attract
visitors. He has completed projects for the National Trust, the Crown Estate and the Historic Houses Association.
Now retired, he gives talks on architecture as it has developed through the centuries. He has been an Arts Society accredited lecturer since 2013.
