At around midday on the 14th February 1748, two travellers stopped for refreshment at The White Hart in Rowland’s Castle. Neither man was seen alive again. Dr Oliver Morgan reconstructs what happened to William Galley and Daniel Chater, and explores the far-reaching consequences of this brutal double murder.
