The Festival of Chichester is delighted to confirm that the award-winning Edward Cooke Family Law will return as principal sponsor for 2026.
Edward Cooke Family Law (www.ecfamilylaw.co.uk) is a specialist firm of divorce solicitors, family lawyers and mediators based in West Sussex, East Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire, with offices in Chichester, Brighton and Farnham. Managing director Edward is a long-standing supporter of the festival and has performed at several events over the past few years.
Edward spoke of his thrill at returning to support the festival. “It’s a huge privilege to be the principal sponsor of the Festival. We take our involvement in the community very seriously, and we really feel that the festival matches what we’re about as a firm.”
Talking to Festival Chairman Phil Hewitt, Edward explained that “We want to support the people in the local community, and that’s exactly what the Festival of Chichester is about as well. It’s about supporting people to showcase their talents… For them to get together to celebrate arts and culture. We feel it’s the perfect fit for us.”
He continued, “Culture and the Arts bring so much joy and happiness to people, and ironically, for a firm of family lawyers, you don’t necessarily think of us as joy and happiness! – but we are here to help…to try and calm things down for people. To make things better and enable people to move forward with their lives constructively. So there is a synergy there, I think… an overlap between the two.”
Events that Edward has previously performed at include a piano and organ duet concert with his brother Matthew, and a festival evensong at St Paul’s.
Could Edward be performing in 2026, too? Well… “There’s a rumour there could be something this year!”
