Event A01: Silent Art Auction

Discover inspiring artworks at The Silent Art Auction this June in the cafe bar at New Park Centre. Generously donated by renowned local artists, pieces will be exhibited throughout June, before a public, silent bidding process. All proceeds go towards the Raise the Roof campaign to replace the Victorian roof.

For decades, New Park Centre has provided free exhibition space for local artists to showcase their work. This special Silent Art Auction is one of several events planned for 2026 where the community can to help raise funds to replace the Victorian roof of one of the city’s most beloved venues. Total roof cost £470,000. Total pledges to date £213,500 (plus designated reserves £150,000 ‘roof repair fund’). Works are being carried out over three years (2025-2027) so the Centre can remain open.

New Park Centre is managed by registered charity, New Park Community & Arts Association.
