To mark the “48th and a half” anniversary of the final season of Monty Python’s Flying Circus, Chichester Cinema will be showing the re-release of Monty Python & The Holy Grail. A treat for Python fans everywhere!
Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a cult classic, parodying King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table as they embark on an obstacle-laden, surreal search for the Holy Grail. Written, directed and starring the Python team, this comedy classic stands the test of time.
The film will be screened an hour after a detailed talk on everything Python, from the programme’s origins to the post-Python careers of its various team members after the TV series ended. Sandy Guthrie will pepper the lavishly illustrated talk with a delicious selection of well-known clips and some rarer, not so seen clips too. The talk will look at the programmes and films the Python team made together as well as following their successful individual paths as writers, actors, and directors.
