Head of Libraries & Heritage at West Sussex County Council Russell Allen and Group Arts Editor for Sussex Newspapers and Festival of Chichester Chairman Phil Hewitt will be discussing the 100 year history of West Sussex libraries and a vision for the future of the service.
Russell Allen has worked in libraries since he was 16 and this year leads the service in celebrating 100 years. He will share the story of our local libraries’ development over the last century and a look to what the future holds.
The event is free but ticketed. Tickets will be available online via https://arena.westsussex.gov.uk/centenary-events.
The 2025 festival will run from Saturday 14 June to Sunday 20 July.
